John J. Makinen Bottle House (also known as the Kaleva Bottle House, Kaleva Bottle House Museum, and Kaleva Historical Museum) is a house built of bottle wall construction in 1941 by John J. Makinen, Sr. It is located in Kaleva, Michigan. Construction uses over 60,000 bottles laid on their sides with the bottoms toward the exterior.

Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse, Coastline, Manistee, MI 49660, Phone: (231) 723-4325. Located in Manistee county, on outer end of north pier. While Manistee began rebuilding immediately, the light was not to be replaced until 1873, when the new structure was augmented with a combination fog signal and light tower at the end of the wooden north pier. To make access to the light safer during stormy weather, this new light was outfitted with an elevated wooden catwalk running from the shore to the light.
